- Start with 1-1 count. Courtesy foul will be given.
- Strike is any ball landing on the plate or the mat.
- If there is a play at home, the runner will take the mat and the defensive player will take the plate. There will be no collisions at home and THERE IS NO SLIDING AT HOME, this will constitute an
out if player slides into home. Steel cleats are allowed.
- Pitchers must pitch underhand, and have no more than 12 feet of arch, no less than 6 feet of arch on pitch. “No pitch” will be called, giving the batter a ball, if a pitch is greater or less than these
requirements.
- Must have 5 girls and 5 guys on the field. Equal numbers will have
to be played, i.e. 4 guys and only 4 girls can play. Any number of girls less
than guys will constitute an automatic out. Extra hitters are allowed. All players
must be at least 18 years of age.
- There is a closed roster. Once a player has played one inning with one
team, they must finish playing tournament with that team. There will be no changing
of teams.
- There will be a homerun limit on the smaller field. 3 homeruns can be
hit, after 3 it is an out. Homerun is a ball hit over the fence. “Inside the parker’s” do not count against homerun limit.
- Girls only can walk behind a guy if three (3) straight balls have been pitched to the guy.
- Outfielders must start play on the grass of the outfield. Once the ball
has been hit, a fielder can move.
- One hour time limit on games. Games will start every hour. Teams must warm up before their game, and be ready when the posted time they play is. No new inning may start after 55 minutes.
- 15 run lead after 5 complete innings of play gives win to leading team.
- You are responsible to supply an umpire for the game following yours. If
you play the last game of the night, you are responsible for supplying an ump the first game of the next day.
- Each team will play 4 games. All teams will be given a seed from their
4-game record and play a single elimination tournament. If there is a tie, high
seed will be given to the team with the most “runs for”, then least “runs against”. Teams are responsible for reporting their scores to the concession
stand after each game.
