We are currently accepting applications for open reserve officer positions. Physical and written testing will be required by the applicant. They will also need to pass a background investigation and a physical exam by a licensed physician. An application can be picked up at cityhall. If you are interested or have any questions, please call 641-446-7733 and ask for Andy.

*****************Hope to see your application!********************

Currently the reserve program consists of three officers.  There are several duties that our reserve officers have.  They attend weekly classes, which are mostly hands-on but have some book work.  Our reserves assist in serving search and arrest warrants, along with many other duties that a full-time officer has.  To become a certified reserve officer you must receive 60 hours of state mandated training.  Other requirements of training include 30 hours of firearms training, 8 hours of CPR and ride time hours.

If you are interested in seeing what the reserve program is about or would like to pick up an application, stop by the city hall and speak to Chief Walker or Lorrie Scrivner.
